Ok, I am confused here...

I have an IDE HD, with an Abit Serial Adapter, plugged into SATA IDE1 on my IC7 mobo...but upon bootup, it recognizes no HD, and I can't see the HD in windows either...

Are there jumper settings on the drive I need to change since it is using the SATA cable?

Which drivers for the SATA, if any, should I install?

In device MGR now, there is a primary & secondary IDE controller, and now there is also something like an Intel Ultra controller...

help!

Is there a setting for drive types in the BIOS? If so, make sure the SATA ports are enabled.
