Hi guys,

I just reformatted my hard disk (Call it 'Disk 1' - it's an 80GB Seagate 380011A connected via SATA) and I backed up all my stuff to my ATA hard disk (Disc 2 - also an 80GB 380011A) which was on the second IDE channel.

I have a Gigabyte motherboard (8I945P Pro) and before the format, Disc 2 was working on my computer (i.e. it was detected by Windows XP). However, after the format, Windows cannot detect Disc 2 and I'm wondering what the correct settings for my BIOS would be to make this work? I've activated the GigaRAID sytem and set it to ATA and Disc 2 is set to Master.
It doesn't detect on the first screen you see when you turn it on (i.e.
Channel 0 Master: 380011A
Channel 0 Slave: None
Channel 1 Master: DVD Burner
Channel 1 Slave: DVD Drive)

But it does detect in the GigaRAID section straight after it (in Drive 0 position). It also gives me a warning about how its speed will be downgraded to Ultra ATA/33 or something along the lines of that, however, it was there before.

My Primary IDE Channel has a DVD Burner and a DVD drive connected to it.

If anyone could help, that would be fantastic.

Cheers,

Jake.
