Using an Apple iSight Firewire with Wintel System

hi

i bought an apple iSight video cam a few years ago.

it didn't work great with the G3 laptop i bought it with,
so i sold the laptop & still have the camera.

i like the camera because it's small.

does anybody know about hacks and/or drivers
that will allow this camera to be used with a
Wintel system ?

My understanding is that it will work "as is" with Windows systems but without the microphone. I would guess that you can simply use a separate microphone along with the iSight camera but the best thing to do is simply try it and see since you have one. Microphones are pretty easy to come by and you probably already have several.

you know that's almost embarassing.

i got a motherboard sitting there with a Firewire port & i didn't even think of it.
