So I know that Sams doesn't accept Amex, but they do accept Walmart gift cards. Think I would be fine just buying a Gift Card at Wally World with my Amex and using it at Sams?

This will work but it would negate any savings considering for every $50 in gift cards there are roughly $10-$15 in fees. Seems to defeat the purpose.

Huh? I'm not buying Amex gift cards cause that wouldn't do me any good. I'm buying Wally World gift cards, no fees, paying with my Amex.

if he was getting an Amex gift card there would be a 4.95 fee for $50 & $5.95 for $100. But he's not. Wallmart gift cards carry no fee when you buy it. There is no reason this shouldn't work, and if he wants to use his Amex at Sams Club this is the closest he'll actually get to being able to do it. And depending on the Amex card he has, he might even get 1-2% back, which would end up saving him money.

I'm about to go scan the receipt from my $100 Walmart gift card with $9.81 in fees.

lol saga man, I'll sell you Walmart gift cards for only $5 over the amount. I get them for the exact amount, but if you're paying almost $10 I can save you some money and make me some cash xD

Nah. I was wrong, QueBert was right. Was a charge for using it at Costco instead of Walmart. Kind of strange because logically that doesn't make any sense so my brain just registered "fee".

My mom would buy giftcards with her Amex to get the gas discount.

My sam's club takes all major credit cards for gas

so I get 5% cashback from penfed visa + cheap gas

inside of sam's club they only take mastercard and discover
