Hi,
I have an older D-Link DI-614+ 802.11b wireless router I'm not using anymore and I was wondering if it'd be possble to use it to run xbox live from a different room. My main wireless router is a Linksys WRT54G 802.11g router. I know using a router as a bridge is possible, but is it with an xbox?

In order to work with a Game Box the device has to be WDS, and been capable to be configured as a Client.

98% of all entry level Routers (including the Linksys 802.11b) can not be comfigured as any thing but Gateway Wireless.

not to reiterate this or anything, but almost all routers can NOT be used as a bridge. You would need to get a product capable of that. Most standalone access points can be configured to do this as well as all wireless bridges (duh... lol).
The cheapest bridge i have seen is this:

never tried it and and i can't be sure how well it works or that it would work with the xbox, but it does mention it being for game consoles...

Edit: also you don't really want to use B equipment if you invested in G stuff b/c they are completely different in how they work and if you have one B device it almost becomes pointless to have G equipment.
