Using a widescreen lcd monitor with XBOX 360 vga cable

I was thinking of picking up an XBOX 360, but dont have a tv. I know there is a cable u can buy so u can play on a monitor, but....

1. would the console have troubles with widescreen aspect or resolution of an lcd?

2. if the xbox isn't running at monitors native resolution (1650x1050), is it a really ugly image?

3. any sort of lag or delay involved?

1. The Xbox 360 runs widescreen resolutions over VGA.

2. Even if the 360 isn't running 1680x1050, it still looks great. I had mine running at 1366x768 on my Dell 2005FPW and it looked awesome. (Of course it looks even better on my new 42" LCD 😉)

I had trouble with my moms monitor. I would pick the 1366x768 on the xbox, but the monitor would display 1280 x 720 when I checked the monitor OSD setting. It looked pretty bad.
