Using a TV as screen for my computer = black/white image

hey,
my friend's computer is an athlon 1ghz with a Winfast Geforce2 Pro, with TV-out. we got this cable in a hardware store that goes from the TV-out to the Scart-stick in the back of the TV, kinda hard to explain how it looks, but it fits...and it kinda works, but the problem is that the image is black and white on the TV screen (a 20 inch standard TV).

latest drivers, computer works flawlessly, but this is a problem obviously. we've tried adjusting the screen settings, colours, rebooted in and out, but it doesn't work, it's just doomed to show the desktop in black and white.

does anyone have any experience with fixing black/white image on a TV? any links, suggestions would be appreciated

Here ya go!
I have the same problem with my laptop. It occurs when either the tv does not support s-video or it has been inactivated. Try this: Use a composite cable (usually yellow), or also find the s-video settings on your comp, or find a tv with s-video enabled!

sorry if I missed eventual sarcasm, but did you mean the thing about drivers? we need drivers for the TV? anywhere we can get those?
