Using a monitor as a tv for an N64?

It would probably work if you got a video card with tv-in, but as for a cable that plugs from an n64 to a monitor, I have no idea.

Somebody help that knows more than me help this guy out 😀

As far as I know, there is no VGA convertor for the N64, although some third-party hardware might be available.

A videocard with TV-in, or a TV-card would probably be an easier solution.

A tv card with either rf in or s-video in is your best bet, but dont expect the quality to be as good as a tv.

Of course there are converters! Generic S-Video and A/V boxes for VGA monitors have existed FOREVER! There are a couple game-specific products that come to mind:
Jam! (Company went out of business and I got one cheap on eBay. Quality is terrible without using S-Video, only OK with S-Video)
And the Blaze! N64 one from www.lik-sang.com (It ONLY has an N64 connector, not S-Video or A/V, though it probably utilizes N64's S-Video through the connector)

Because there is no digital or VGA output from an N64, they are ALL nothing more than signal converters.

They threw their "Gamecube/N64 VGA Box" in their GCN section and not their N64 section. You can find it HERE. It's expensive, but I bet it's better than that "Jam!" device that I have...

there are some very expensive and high-quality monitors that have many different types of input built into them. There is one where I work that has RCA, S-Video, Component, and VGA input and it about 40". It's pretty much a phatty TV with some adapters built into the back of it.

Just FYI
