Using a Linksys Hub + Router

I was thinking that I would plug my hub into my DSL connection and on the hub hook up my server and run another cable to the router. Then on the router I would connect my other four machines. I want to try this setup so I will not have to do any port forwarding or anything special to the server.
Will I still be able to map drives from a computer behind the router to the server?

It's been my experience that the answer is no.

(i have a similar setup and haven't figured out a way)

Let's see if anyone else has some ideas to help up BOTH out!

The situation you described would require 2 ip #s from your provider. it will work fine if they assign you 2 addy's which usually means
5to 15 dollars additional a month..
edit ( I would) Run em all throught the router.. you can put the server in the DMZ on the router and the router wont effect it at all cept it will provide
nat for the server..

I solved my own problem!
If I map to the computer's IP address it works so \\server\c becomes \\111.111.11.1\c
:D :D :D :D :D
