using a laptop am2 cpu in desktop am2 mobo...??

I have a number of am2/am3 boards, and none of them appear to specifically support a particular ultra low-power AM2 chip in bios (22w athlon ii). I think it's actually a laptop chip.

What can I expect if I try and use it? Do I just need to manually set voltages, etc?

when i built my last 2 desktops years ago i used mobile CPU's instead of the desktop versions. i never had an issue and i never tweaked voltage settings
