Using a GPU and CPU client together halves one or the other?

I was testing distributed.net GPU client yesterday, noticed when running the CPU client with it that the GPU scaled back to same speed as CPU working.

That a bandwidth thing or by design?

Set the GPU client to a little higher priority. Or the CPU client a little lower.

You don't want the GPU client to have to wait for the CPU cycles it needs.

Oops, I was expecting d.net to be similar to F@H nvidia GPU client which uses 1-3% of a CPU "when running" and probably much more for the few seconds at start-up and when it finishes a WU and sends it in.

How does d.net GPU client do those things? Does it have its own operating system? What kind of video card has a LAN connector?

Yes but running it uses none, running both of them it does not show any CPU at all...

Folding or d.net.
