Are you using GF4 hardware on a WinXP machine? If so, which driver have you found to be the best in terms of:

1. Speed

2. Image quality

I'm currently using the NVidia ForceWare 53.03 drivers and they seem to be good to me. But I keep reading in various places across the net that drivers newer than 45.23 are no good for GF4 cards. My configuration:

Abit NF7-S Rev 2.0 BIOS 21
AMD AthlonXP 2500+ @ 3200+
1GB PC3500
GF4 Ti 4800SE @ 300/650
NV UDP 3.13 with my own mix (latest AGPGART is being used)
NV FW 53.03
WinXP Pro SP1a
DX 9.0b
other unimportant stuff (to this thread)

So, I ask you guys for your opinions. Please, if possible, give a reason for why you selected the driver set you are using (unless it has to do with Madonion products). Maybe your decision was based on a specific game? I'm playing UT2003 and KOTOR right now but I plan to play Doom3 as soon as it's available.

Thanks for your time and help.

you could try reading documentation on all the drivers from 40 and up and see where the last speed update to the geforce4 was.

Speed increases are of course always welcome but sometimes new drivers fix bugs or improve display quality. And sometimes they break features. The last item there is the one that concerns me. The What's New files never tell you the new driver breaks something that used to work properly. :)

I`m using a GF2 Ti with the latest 53.03 drivers(in my backup PC)been great so far on stability,IQ quality etc.

The main reason why I always use the latest drivers is to have the latest bug fixes.
