I want to hook up my iPod to a Pocket PC (havent bought one yet, PPC that is), to dump video i have on the iPod to a mem card, thus reducing the size mem card i would need.

Is this possible?

If you are using windows mobile 2003 it will recognize hard disks, but I have yet to see a device that will interface a CF slot with ANY type of hard drive.

I use the USB connection to look at my computers drives. But with a 128MB card its not like I can transfer my whole music collection over.

figured it out

If you get a toshiba PPC, you can use their 'USB Host Cable' and connect a USB device that way, like an iPod or a USB HDD.
