I asked this question a few weeks ago, but have gotten conflicted responses.
I have an ABIT BX6-r2 slot1 mobo. The latest BIOS supports up to a PIII-700. Someone said that since PIII's have their multiplier locked, I could use a faster PIII, like an 800 or 900 (100 MHz FSB legall, or 133 MHz if my AGP card can take it
Can anyone confirm this for me before I go but a new CPU? I know an new Athlon system would be cheap and a lot faster, but I"m A.) Too lazy to rebuild, and B.) have video capture cards, and tons of other hardware that I don't want to have to fight with to get to work together again!
