Using a digital 8 with my PC

I was just wondering how or which way to go as far as being able to hook up my cam-corder and use it with my pc. If any one can steer me in the right direction on this, I would be extremely gratefull. It has S-video out as well as the standard connections. Thanks yall.

You need to get their iLink! cable to connect it to a firewire card. Check the specs on the card first though, find out if it has 4 or 6 pins. That will determine the cable you buy. You can find the basic cables at sony's site. I'm not sure on the S-video though. I would think you need a video card with S-video in(?). Don't quote me on any of this though, I haven't done it yet.

I bought a Pinnacle StudioDV that works with my Sony TRV720. It included the firewire card, cable and software.
