Actually an old "trick" for those applying heat to a small piece of metal would be to make a "heat dam" out of toothpaste fi nothing else is available. It it NOT a heat conductor!

The rs compound works better then toothpaste, or maybe i should start brushing with Arctic Silver. 🙂
 
Then you could look like that dude from Moonraker!! What was his name-"jaws" or something like that??
 
Well, I'm still running a Duron 600@1000@1.8 and I'm not having any problems. Motherboard Monitor shows 36C, but I know how inaccurate the Socket A platform is with temperatures. It's making me nervous, and I can't wait until I can get some Arctic Silver.
