hello, i've just got a pc assembled for myself with the configuration:
intel core i7 860
asus p7p5d deluxe
kingston 4gb kit of 2 @ 1333
xfx geforce 9600 gt 1gb DDR3
500 gb HDD & LG optical drive
MRON GAMMA cabinet

1) Now what i want to know is whether i can use 3PCIe cards 'decently'( 3-way sli or triple crossfirex) on my mobo or not?

2) will the present PSU that is equipped with my cabinet be able to support atleast 2 PCIe cards( again SLI or CROSS FIRE X)) when i install the second one or not? Or could it even support 3 PCIe cards?...i've really been not able to find proper specs on my cabinet...i used it because many suggested it to me for my present requirements

3) now i'm not a hardcore enthusiast that believes in doing it all at extreme..i mean for me playing at 1280 x 1024 at high settings is more than enough...but still in future should the upcoming games require more out of the PC then will i've to get my rig overclocked manually by some expert OR the intel's turbo boost and my asus mobo's O.C. profiles or auto tuning feature will do the job well which i think i can do myself with just few advises on cooling solutions which would also be welcome from you people right now?

awaiting your reply eagerly

1) Yes you can go 3way SLI but I think one of the 3 PCIE slot will run at 8x

2) What power supply?

3) Read the forums, thoroughly, and make your own decision on overclocking and if you want to jump into overclocking.

Don't do 3-way CrossFire or SLI on a P55 board. On average there's no performance gain, and in some cases there's actually a performance drop. Your motherboard doesn't support 3-way GPU setup anyway (the third PCI-E only runs at 4X). If you do 2-way CrossFire, each card will run at 8x 8x.

Here are the specs of your board.

thanks but i've already sen the specs and it was my decision to go for this motherboard

still that tom's hardware post was quite useful n i dont think i'll be then going for 3 cards now ....since everywhere it's the same negative point of 4x bandwidth....

but if i equip myself with two extreme series cards of either nvidia or ati then will that do fine??

well i'm from india and in my place the assemblers suggested me for this cabinet that's it's quite good for building up a gaming rig...so i went for it

but i don't think if much specs are available on net about it

still the pic and some brief specs are here:

Hmm, I don't have a lot of confidence in that PSU. Who knows how they arrive at a rating of 700W <rhetorical>.

Still, that 9600GT should be plenty for 1280x1024. Not sure which gfx cards you are considering for SLI/crossfire, but I'd recommend a higher-res monitor first.

32" matters not to your PC, resolution does.

What resolution is that Bravia? 1080p?
