Using 2 raid cards (same brand and model) on one computer

I currently have a Highpoint 2300 4 port SATA raid card in my server configured as JBOD since I really have no need for raid, just need the extra SATA ports. I'm out of ports so I've just ordered a second card. I heard that you can use multiple raid cards on one machine. How does that work? When booting how would I tell the computer to go in the configuration for each card? What about drivers, would I need to install separate drivers for each card? TIA.

One set of dirvers will run both cards. Each card will be on a different PCI/PCI-e slot and have a differnt address. Drives will be assigned a letter in order as they are detected. Since you aren't trying to run a raid there is nothing you really need to do. My Computer will just show allot of drives and drive letters.
