Using 2 cable modems in same house, possible?

Rather than going wireless, is there any reason I can't just grab a 2nd cable modem for the bedroom PC and use the existing one for the office, or would that not work?
 
Not unless you have another account with your cable provider. The cheapest way is just a router and a wireless adapter.
