Using -15 offset for CPU since 2007. Am I right ?

I remember 5 years ago I got my P5K and Q6600 GO

I noticed the temps were way too high in all applications.

So I used a -15 offset on each core ,,,,

I get 50c idle and 72c full load without offset. With -15 offset I get 30's c idle.

Am I wrong in putting offset for the CPU cores, -15 each to bring down temps to 30's c ,,,,,,, without offset its like 50c idle , 72 full load. Thank for the help. I just want to know if I need a -offset currently. Thanks in advance.
