Using 110-220V converter on a printer

Hi guys, I have a question if someone would be kind enough to answer.

I bought a Samsung printer here in the States (110V) for someone in Europe (220V electricity)

The printer in question:
Samsung Printer

Converter in question:
Tek-Mate UDX-100E(A) Up/Down 110V to 220V AC Converter. 100 Watts

Can a friend of mine use this converter to transform electricity from 220V to 110V to use with the printer? Some people in Europe say that how many Watts has also something to do with it, but I'm not sure.

I would really appreciate your responses because I don't want them to screw the printer up. Thanks.

Samsung's website says the printer uses 400 watts in operation and 15 watts asleep.

So, I would say your 100 watt adapter is way too small.

Yeah I can almost guarantee it won't work. The Samsung laser printer's I've seen were quite power hungry. My ML-2010 pulls up to about 600W. Even worse the Samsung's pull a large amount of power about every 15 seconds until they go to sleep. My HP Laserjet 1012, on the other hand, pulls less current and only uses a lot of power when printing.
