Users of motherboards with VIA KT133A chipset please read, info on Northbridge bugs

I was surfing around the net and found this news on some sites about bugs in KT133A Northbridge. Apparently, chips with 1EA0 and 1EA4 marking have bugs, but the chips with 2EA1 marking are ok.

xBits News. News origin, Chiponline, however it is in German.

Anyone have any ideas that by taking out the HSF of the chip, will that void the warranty? And would the motherboard manufacturers let people with 1EA0 and 1EA4 markings RMA the mobo?
