Username Knock Off's?

Are forum members allowed to use knock off user names of well respected members?

You have "AigomorLa" and them some new member with "AigomorIa...

The fact he went out of his way to even use the same avatar picture and then lie about how he is has used the name forever on other places just spells out "troll" to me.

Mods may want to look into this one.

There's no way to verify whether or not he used the name on AberMUD or tinyMUD either. Were he to use a different avatar and start posting in some other thread, on some other subject, in some other forum, I might believe that the similarity between names were coincidental. He just happened to show up in a thread about watercooling components in which aigomorla posted for the very first time, using the same avatar.

Coincidence? I think not!

Thanks, for the information, I now know this but I already had it done.

As a quick update, this does appear to be a new users (not a current user pretending to be new). However, we've asked him to change his username to avoid confusion.

You know alot of people really appreciate your fairnesss and even handed handling of this issue.
Because aigomorla is so well known and is sort of at least on these forums the Water CoolingGURU your decision IMO was well thought out a fair!!
