What are these "user ratings" that are listed in my profile? I see i have a rating of 2.5 with 2 votes. What does this mean, and who's voting for me? Is ed mcmahon coming to my door soon? <just kiddin>...I recently joined as a member, and already spend way too much time here.

Thanks!

Thanks man, but does it mean anything? Can i rate others? Or does no one really care, its just an included feature in the forums?

Doh! - i see where i can rate people now...I'm at work now, must be blind!

It really has no meaning that I know of. You never know how rates you unless they say something to ya,BTW, I just gave ya a 10. 🙂 You can rate someone if they have the funtion enabled in their profile. say someone makes you mad, you can give them a 1, someone helps you out, you can give them a 10.

What does that have to do with anything though, ....nothing. Unless you want to brag that you have a user rating of 8 or something which is a sure fire way to get about 20 people to rate you a 2. 🙂

[edit] I just noticed you live in Battle Ground, my uncle lives there. 🙂 And I live in Auburn, just south of Seattle. We're practicly neighbors. 😀[/edit]

NccOps, I gave you a '10', too, now your rating is high enough to do some of that bragging Stallion was talking about. 🙂

bigsmooth - I gave you a 10 just for being a blazers fan !

It's not a good thing to be a laker fan here in Portland / Vancouver area!

How this works is that that the User Rateing is used mostly for users hanging out in the For Sale/Trade forum. A higher that user's rating the more reliable he is for buying stuff with. The lower it is the worse he is. This rateing is for resellers. So for normal forum goers it is not really needed.

Hope this explains it,

Albert.
