User profile cannot load

Can you help me with my laptop? I cannot load my user profile because I encountered an error saying user profile cannot be loaded. How can I solve this? I have important files that I need to open for my business.

What operating system is installed? Windows 7? 8? 8.1? 10? When you first setup the computer, did you create only one account or only one admin account?
Windows 7 should allow you to login with the local administrator account via Safe Mode. If the local administrator account is still disabled, try using a different user account.
If you can get logged in, the open regedit - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

Look at the listed profiles there and see if any are appended with .BAK or .TMP

If you see one, highlight it and on the right pane it should show the path for the user profile. If it's yours, just remove the .BAK or .TMP extension at the end of the profile ID and that should allow you to log back in after reboot.

That isn't telling me very much. Do you have more than ONE user account setup on the machine? If you do, try to login using the other user account.

You can try to use your Windows 7 install media. You boot from the DVD and select "Repair your computer" and then "Command Prompt"
From here you should be able to set a password for the local computer "administrator" account and then enable the account.

At the command prompt type: net user (this should show you the local administrator account)
Then enter: net user administrator /active:yes (this should enable the local administrator account)

The password should be blank since the account is disabled by default. Reboot the computer into safe mode and try to login with the local administrator account and no password. If it fails the login, try booting up normally then logging in. You can also try resetting the password (boot from the DVD again) and at the command prompt use: net user * to change the pass.

Does it let you log into a temp account? Like one that boots into a blank desktop with none of your files in it?

The win7 c;\users\gustavowo folder is protected, even if you had another non admin account on that drive you can't browse to that directory. I think you need to take out the drive with your data to protect the data

put in another new drive

install win7

use same username account on new install

attach old drive via sata to usb connector

now you can browse the contents of your old user directory.

depending on how important it is, this might be the safest route.

Gotcha. If you can't get the Administrator account working, you may need to take it somewhere and pay to have this work done.

Boot into BartPE, load your registry hive and fix the settings by following Microsoft's instructions:
