I'm user of the day at http://stop.inferia.ru/

Only one box, an i7-6700, beats my Ryzen 1700x and only by a little (5-10 seconds per WU.)

Certainly the 8 core has more total throughput, even though the individual cores are slower?

It's difficult to tell--- the box is anonymous---
    GenuineIntel
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz [Family 6 Model 94 Stepping 3]
    (8 processors)

We don't know about overclocking or whether it's shared among projects.
I'm now doing 8 threads in addition to the 8 cores for a 15% increase in throughput.
