The english language has this wonderful facility for informality: The contraction. It allows you to combine two common words into a single word, split with an apostrophe, which allows for a smoother flow of conversation. In common usage, we'll see words like "you're" and "they're". Unfortunately, they sound quite similar to certain words that have entirely different meanings, such as "your" and "there" or "their", and people who are either non-native english speakers or are simply otherwise ignorant and perhaps of lesser education will often find themselves confused.

My responce,

I love people who think they're better than others. Your more educated than I, good for you. I guess you
feel better now showing your superiority over me. Sorry I had a few bad things happen to me in life and I was not able to go to college. Also you might like to know I missed alot of school during high school because I had a job. I was trying to help my parents save there house. Plus I had a couple of surgerys during my junior year. I graduated by the skin of my teeth I think the teachers felt bad for since I was/am a Cancer survivor. I thank you for making me feel like sh1t.

I don't want to be a dick, but it really isn't hard to correctly use contractions, when you encounter a "your" or a "their" ask yourself if replacing it with "you are" or "they are" makes sense. If it does, you should be using "you're" or "they're".

After a while it'll become second nature, you won't event think about it and you'll be writing it correctly.

WTF does college and high school have to do with it? Don't you learn contractions in grade school anymore?

Why did you bother creating your own thread? PM him if you need to contact him directly, or reply to the original thread this was discussed in.

Looks like instead of attending english class, you're too busy playing Nintendo.

Get a grip. I knew the difference between 'your' and 'you're' at 8. Not going to college doesn't really cut it.

So, Astaroth33 said:

And you said:
Your more educated than I ... I was not able to go to college... I graduated [high school] by the skin of my teeth...

Also, you are one of these people that confuses contractions (see above quote of 'your'). So, doesn't your post just prove that Astaroth33 is right?
