Windows XP seems to only have 2 user account types - Administrator and Limited. Is there any way to add more types of accounts as with Win NT/2000, like power user, etc?

Win XP also requires that at least one user be an administrator. I would like that to be only the account named 'Administrator'. Is there a way to do this?

Thanks

if you go into the control panel, administrative tasks, user management you have full user management capability.

I'm probably missing something obvious here, but I don't have administrative tasks in my control panel, only administrative tools and there is no user management there.

Run Administrative Tools which is found in the Control Panel.

Then go to computer management and you will see Local Users and Groups. You can expand that and go into the groups and see all the default groups that you are used to in NT/2000 and add users to them... or create new groups.

It will show up as unknown group in the welcome screen... but who cares.
