Useless steam prizes

Sigh, the two things I "won" in the steam gift thing were -33% off heroes of might and magic 6 (it was 50% off during the sales) and -50% off a valve game (all their games were 50% off through the entire sale). So either I could get better/the same prices now or wait a half month and use my coupon... Seriously? I basically won stuff that was worse than coal >.<

I think they should ban your account for complaining about extra free stuff you got. "The sales were so good that the coupons I got aren't worth anything". What an ungrateful ass

Their non-sale prices of old games are ridiculously expensive. They're not doing people any favors; they're just using good marketing.
 
Maybe someone I know will mention that they want to buy Portal 2 or something in the next couple of months, but yah, I see the coupons as essentially winning nothing. Which is fine by me, I'm surprised how relatively easy it was to actually win a game outright, which apparently a lot of people did.

Hopefully most of the coal has been forged into prizes so my 5 peices have a better chance of winning one of the big prizes. Still probably one in a million though.
 
The coupons are usually worthless due to the sale prices being lower, so it's not really like getting anything for free but a few pixels.

There is an exception IF those coupons stack with daily deals, which they do NOT say that they don't, they only say they don't work until after the sale is over. OR if the standard list price of a game goes down enough before they expire in March.
 
Meh. I combined some coal and got Worms Armageddon. So I was ok with that. It was a nice bonus to a sale where I didn't buy a lot.
 
only sale i was happy about was MW3 for $40. i got a few sale games but their older and nothing i had much more than a curious interst in. I didnt bother looking into the prizes cause i already knew it would be bunk.
 
lol most of the coupons seem useless, but my brother did get hawx2! pretty sweet. i got super meat boy! which is also awsm except i bought it last year during the sale.

still trying to trade for section8😛rejudice coupon ._.
