Useless RANT.....

I am basically a Java/Symbian developer....I'm just 20 yrs old, and I've got a job in a company "Infosys Technologies" (wonder how many of you have heard of it....) which I will join as soon as my college graduation is over (another 6 months).....

Well up until now I have been accustomed to using two monitors, as having that extra screen space is just sooooooooo useful to me..... I wonder if employees too are given 2 monitors on their desks, but if not, how do I even begin adjusting??? I just can't imagine living without 2 displays, as those of you who use it must know how much more productive it is.

Like I said, this is a useless rant, has anyone been in this situation before (going from 2 displays to 1)? How do you find it, same as before or much more hard to manage?

or if you can get two by asking. usually its a matter of justifying it to your boss. i have 2 on my desk but i dont always use them. i also have 2 laptops in front of me, as well as a desktop next to those. when i go out in the field i use just my laptop, not too hard to adjust. but i do agree that its much easier with 2 monitors.

I think all of our developers are multimon (unless they dont want it). Its extrememly common now and Id be surprised if it was an issue for you.
