It's actually funny if you think about it. I don't think I could fill out a check for that much. My handwriting is too big and the places to write in the amount are too small 😉

Lets assume that a chocolate bar you could get for 0.05 then, now costs 0.45. That's a rough guesstimate, but it sounds pretty close to on target.

That means that the value of that now if you compared the value based on the price increase on chocolate bars, the value of it would be estimated at 37,592,726,614.83

four billions one hundred seventy six million nine hudred sixty nine thousand six hudred twenty three dollars and fifty seven cents..
i dont see how they could fit that on a check...

It was an internal check, so it was probably from one part of the department of treasury to another.

I just tried, and was able to fit it over three lines.
