As do most. That's why non-sensical phrases in a dead language are immensely ammusing.

Some get it, some don't.

This would be a lot funnier if there was a chance in hell that I could remember any of the phrases well enough to slip them into a dyay to day conversation...

I'm reminded of my Latin class my freshman year of high school. GAH!

Had to read The Trojan War all in Latin. I got like a 37 on the test....lowest test score I EVER received!

I had a boss a LONG time ago that used latin phrases ... when he left the company, on his 'good luck' card, I wrote (in latin) "Don't let the door hit you in the butt on your way out." or something to that effect.

He was a great guy and he got a hoot out of the joke.
