Used Spybot and Adaware but I sitll get tons of pop-ups.

Used spybot and adaware, both fully updated from the net. I still get 10 popups or so instantly when im randombly browsing. it happens every 5 or 10 mins or so. Any thing else i can do? also looked in control panel i dont have any suspicious programs listed.

Norton Personal Firewall, and MAYBE Zone alarm have built in pop up stoppers... I haven't seen a pop up in, well i don't know how long...

I've got the k-lite supertrick, and it works for the sites on the list.

are they coming from a particualr site?

I don't know about Spybot, but the free versions of both Adaware and ZoneAlarm do NOT include popup stoppers. The paid versions do.

i think the problem here is that there may be something that is CAUSING those popups....that's alot of pop-ups otherwise......pop-up stoppers will generally fix the problem, but it won't get rid of the source of the problem......i don't know what else to tell u other than deleting all cookies and temp. internet files.....spybot and adaware usually works for me but owell.....format c: may be you're best bet.....as bad as it may be.....good luck
