Used Laptops in Canada

If you're located in Vancouver, there is Cal's Computer Warehouse and PC Galore. Those are consignment computer stores. But they're not cheap for what you're getting. Best to check out your local paper or the Buy and Sell.

People are often selling used laptops at the For Sale/Trade forum at www.redflagdeals.com. It's a Canadian deals site so usually only Canadian buyer/sellers.

Hehe Beat me to it Budman.

If you want a used laptop, I would personally look for one used in the classifieds or from a shop in town.
Either that or get one new cause you get alot more for your money now on a new one than a used laptop.

If you just want something cheap that can get you online and allow you to do some work, then go with like a P3/450 or something like that for a
few hundred bucks (probably $500-600 used). But when you see a used P3/500 - P3/800 laptop going for around $800-1000, it just doesn't make sense to buy one of those
when you could get a new laptop with a much faster cpu, larger hd, more ram, dvd, and probably a bigger screen for just a bit over $1000.

Cal's is available but certainly not my first choice that's for sure. Expensive.

Best to go through Dell Off Lease or through other places like TigerDirect.ca which you can find some refurb units at a decent price.

IMO, it's most price competitive to just get an entry level Dell lappy from Dell USA and sneak it over the border. Much cheaper that way if you can swing it.
