Funcoland? I think they're out of business.

Edit: Apparantly Funcoland is owned by Gamestop.

The Funco-land near us had a person come in and shoot the employee and steal some video-game systems. They changed the name after that.

We have some here called Game XChange which deal almost entirely in used games/systems. We also have Vintage Stock which I think may also have used games, but it's been a few years since I've been there so I'm not sure.

Ever heard of Playerchain.com? Check it out. You can list any games you want for what price you think you can get for them. You "trade" the game for Game Bucks and then can use them later to purchase a game from someone else. A better deal then a used game store because they give you MAYBE 25% of the value of your game? They have to so they can turn a profit on it.

For example, I "sold" Black & White 2, Soul Calibur 2 (GC), SSMB, Olivion CE (PC DVD), and Chromehounds. In return, I "bought" Dead Rising and Splinter Cell Double Agent and I still have $32 Game Bucks sitting in my account to use. It only cost me $5 to Playerchain ($2.50 per game received) plus shipping the games I sold.

Unless you have a local games place you are down to two companies, EB Games (who owns Gamestop, Funcoland and Babages) and Game Crazy.

I went into gamestop Sat. and just walked right back out. Their new stuff was priced anywhere from $5 to $20 more than a Target or Walmart, and they were right next to Target.....

Their used stuff was only %10 less than the cost of the new version of the game.

Even their old ass gameboy games were insanely overpriced.

I generally like used game shops and try to spend my money there, but that was ridiculous. Game Crazy always seems to give us the hook up on trade in credit for stuff. check them out if you have one in your area.

Yeah, GameStop and EBGames have high prices on a lot of used games. But they do have buy 2 get 1 free deals pretty often it seems, that makes it a better deal.

Paying the $5 for the discount card helps too - additional 10% off all used games and accessories.
