I need another car...was wondering if you had any opinions on private owner or a dealership? And Im looking for a sedan type car...looking to spend no more than 4000....any recomendations...???

I would prefer a dealer, but if I got to check out a car in person from the owner...drive it a bit...I wouldn't mind

At that price point you would be better off looking at induviduals cars instead of at a dealership.

Buy from a local dealer that is selling on ebay! (usually only feasible if you live in a big enough city)

They will usually offer a short warranty and the option to test drive before you bid!

You're not going to find many $4000 cars at dealerships, that you will perceive as a good value.

Just find a used Subaru on autotrader. Was browsing last night and saw a lot for under 4 grand.
