hey, so I am looking to either buy new or used car in the next few months. Any ways

If I would get a used car it would be a 2007 or older car since after two years the car looses most of it value. What cars that are out there that have great performance and can fit a 6'2 driver.

Nissan Altima 3.5 and or the Honda Accord V6 both seem great candidates. I fit in them nicely but I wanted to know if you guys could suggest anything else.

Also the newer Nissans have that CVT tranny and uh I hear it makes the car utterly boring to drive and it sucks, so I am not sure about that.

Thanks

You have any sort of budget to adhere to?

And exactly what do you mean by great performance? On-par with an Accord V6?

I'm as tall as you are and I found the Altima seats to be rather uncomfortable. I doubt that had anything to do with it. I just found the drivers seat to be rather hard. The power is nice, but I really HATED the seats. Never tried the Accord out.

Both are good but you'll need to shop around on the Honda to get a decent price. Its a good car but in my opinion they often get sold for more than they're worth just because of the public perception.

If you're looking at midsized cars I'd throw in the ford fusion, chevy malibu, Mazda 6, and Camry. The Camry is boring but mechanically sound. Try all of them, narrow the list down to what you like, and then pick the one you can get the best deal on. If there are multiple models you like you'll have more options and get a better deal on whichever car you end up with.

Under 18k is what I am looking at for a used. The Brand new car I am looking at are 22-28k depending on configuration.

I am looking for a V6 more or less ,I just need a work horse that can get me to and from school with no issues with some power behind it. it will be 64 miles(back and fourth) every time I go to school which could be 3-4 days a week all highway though. I dont want to get an American car I am sorry, but my dad will physically not help me buy an American car because he has had two in the past and were terrible. I do have some money saved up but not enough. I do not want a death trap on wheels, and I would love for the car to have ESP, but buying older models thats kinda an issue 😱

esp? a car that reads the mind? nifty..... I would also check out the malibu. great cars and you can get them for a good price. Tell you dad to get over it.

If you look around hard enough you can find the Accord V6 sedan in a six-speed manual during that model year (also 2006 and maybe 2005). They are differentiated externally by red lettering in the V6 badge and five-spoke alloys.

Nice I did not think about a G35 I looked and found that there are alot of used ones for sale in my area.

I got another question, Many people have different opinions about this but at how many miles max should I look for on a used car? Some say any more then 50k forget about it.

I think used Fusions are one of the best bargains out there right now. They don't have the unrealistic mythical "ubreakable" reputation that Honda & Toyota do that drive their used prices up. They are getting very favoriable reviews by owners and praise from sources such as Consumer Reports. Three months ago I picked up a 2008 Fusion SE with under 6000 miles for $12K off the lot ($11K + taxes/tags).

Here is a 2008 SEL with 11K miles for under $15K in your area

just get a new honda. Hondas and Toyotas that are only a little used are a rip off. With the rebates now, you could get a new one cheaper than a used one. My gf got a new Corolla S with a sunroof for 14.7K. A used 07 LE with a sunroof and 20K on it will run 16K.
