Used Bubble Jet vs. New Dot-matrix Printer

Which would be a better choice for a legacy 386 machine running DOS applications, a used Canon Bubble Jet BJC-4000 or a new Panasonic KX-P1150 dot-matrix? The new KX-P1150 is a pretty expensive $134, but I think I can get the used BJC-4000 in an eBay auction for $10-$15.

those are good printers, I only suggest folks get dot matrix's if they need carbon copies of things the print and don't want to simply print 2 or more of the same page.

The BJC-4000 is a good, robust choice. Fit them with a BC-20 black-only cartridge for amazingly low printing cost. (And unlike the later models in the 4xxx series, the original 4000 still has DIP switches and buttons for everything. Nothing software controlled in there.
