I've been lurking at AT for a while now, so I know some of the people here are pretty knowledgable regarding audio equipment. So, I figured I'd (finally) register and throw a quick question out there.
I'm looking to buy some audio equipment (receiver + speakers, the whole 9 yards..) I found on one of the FS/FT forums someone offering a (I think) good deal for a used Ascend Acoustics speaker package. Basically, I'm looking for some pointers if it is/isn't a good deal.
The system consists of 2 CBM-170's for the mains & 3 HTM-200's for the center & surrounds, all for around $500. They are 3 months old. Ascend Acoustics offers a 5 year, transferable warranty. Were it new, the system would cost around $750.
Any comments on buying these used speakers?
