Signum Data

The idea was more than just revolutionary:

To build a convincing PC which would differentiate itself through its design, compactness and extreme ruggedness. Inside aliquid-cooled CPU. Replaceable standard micro ATX main board and a fanless 150W power supply with well over 85% efficiency especially developed by SID.

Signum Data has revolutionized with the SID FutureClient®. Wherever it is used - either industrially or in an office - either as a Thin Client or as a high-powered PC - both its inner and outer values will convince everyone who comes into contact with the FutureClient.

I remember some time ago suggesting this very same idea. Some guy claiming to be a thermal engineer said it wouldn't work. Well, all I got to say for that is... neener, neener!

It's not anything new, there was a system out called CALM that did the same thing. I dunno if they're still around, though, they couldn't handle high-wattage CPUs very well.

This appears to be pretty much the same situation, if you look at the technical specs you can only put up to a Tualatin 1266 or an Athlon 1 GHz. Not bad for being silent, but none too powerful compared to my dual Athlons. And mine isn't really very noisy.

When I see a review of some overclocker running a Tbird 1400@1600, hot video card, full deck of PCI cards and RAID array in one of these marvels I'll read the review with great interest.

Not likely.
