Use Thermal Compound, or Intel Thermal Pad (for Northwood)

Hi All
I'm soon to order a Northwood@3.2, and I'm going to use the stock fan/heatsink that comes with it. I'm just wondering whether I would benefit from replacing the thermal pad that is attached to the Intel stock apparatus and use a thermal compound in its place.

Worth the trouble, or not?

Thanks
Chris

The pad is fine unless you intend to go for a max overclock. You can probably get away with mild overclocking with the stock pad. Once you have used the pad, and you remove the heatsink, the pad has to be replaced with thermal compound. The pad is one use only.
