Use Task Scheduler to schedule reboots?

Sybren

I want to use the "Scheduled Tasks" control panel to schedule my computer to reboot every night @ 3:00AM. I could figure out how to do it if I knew which executable to run to make it reboot... anybody have any advice?

Thanks!

i think u have to use task schedule in combination w/ another shutdown program...

there's a couple shutdown programs, but i can't remember their names...check out download.com, they have one there i downloaded - even sports menu alpha blending (transparency) in win2k/xp

all u do is get TS to schedule the running of this program that is automated to shut down your computer at a specified time or duration of time.

Thanks -- I found a program that can restart it, now my problem is that I have to have all my MS Office Applications closed before Windows can restart, but I leave Outlook open whenever my computer is open. Is there a way to get Windows to close Outlook somehow, or restart when Outlook is still open?
