Use SprintPCS? Then save some green...

And of course, now that their traffic is going to quadruple and 3/4 of it will be completely crap, they will change this simple and easy system for people with REAL dropped calls to complain, and make it more difficult.

Thanks alot a**h*le. I hope you get a permanent vacation, along with your IP address.

this has been around for some time. it's perfectly legal, but as others have mention, abuse will only cause the system to collaspe.

//krunk (^_^x)

I've known about this for quite a while. I get dropped calls but it's come to the point where I don't even bother cashing in on this... Sprint is just terrible and I can't wait to get off the 2-yr contract come December.

Honestly I think they limit you to 1 credit a day(which the linked page doesn't mention) so only really dedicated people are going to be able to get 10 bucks off. I mean honestly, nobody is gonna call every day for a dropped call, if you put that much effort into it your time really isn't worth that much lol.

Don't get me wrong - I like Sprint. Otherwise, why would I have stayed with them for 5+ years?

All I am doing is showing others how to get the most from their service. I think we can all agree that you should not have to pay for dropped calls. Sprint, unlike the other major carriers, has a protocol in place to take care of its customers who have dropped calls. Not everyone is aware of this protocol and I am simply passing along the howto. I wish I had known about from this from the begining b/c I have ALWAYS had dropped calls with Sprint and it has constantly frustrated me.

i was with sprint for more than 5 years because they had the best service where i was living (i've since moved). Thanks for posting this though because it reminded me to call them and cancel my service!

yes, this is a threadcrap because I hate sprint. I mean, how are you supposed to *2 to even get credit if you're not getting signal? CS sucks.

Wow, I get calls dropped fairly often in front of my PC for some reason (interference?).

I don't get it... why would they give a credit in money instead of minutes?

They give you 50 cents because having a call drop sucks. It's a huge inconvienience for both sides so giving you 1 minute back would be a greater insult.

Where is the "abuse" here? When I had sprint, I had a few dozen dropped calls every month. Certainly not hard to come up with 20 real ones.

No need to pretend. Sprint's service is horrible. I realize it's a crazy idea for cell phones, but in my opinion, you should get what you pay for.

After reading all of your comments I"m glad I don't have sprint. At least they have a dropped call recovery system of some sort. But it still blows you all have so many dropped calls...

Use or abuse? As he words it - abuse, an exploit. If you really dropped a call then so be it.

PCS sent the dropped call rebate on little colorful flyers w/ the phone bill like 1.5 years ago, as cingular and others have done... this is so old. As to abuse, you'd have to be ignorant to feel bad for the cell companies. They are the ones that overload their network in order to increase profit margins.. I get the rebate whenever I remember it and have some extra time to kill. $10 saving/month is not worth many peoples time/effort though, so cell companies will probably stay in business afterall

Cingular has a similar program in place, where if you call and complain about poor reception they can cut your bill in half.

Just get Verizon Wireless. THE BEST coverage for cellular customers, PERIOD. Now with Push to Talk, Nextel will be history.

Verizon is awesome... but Nextel has much better PPT than Verizon for now. Also they are targeting two very diff mkts... nextel is much more business orientated. So both will stay in business

Verizon is what I switched to because of their coverage. But, I am still plagued by dropped calls - actually more than I ever had with SprintPCS and that does piss me off....
