Use printer on one machine thru router

I am using a router( linksys). I have 2 XP Pro machines. Printer is connected to LPT 1 on one. Trying to print from other. Installed printer software on second printer which I am using a wireless connection. Not sure if this is a network config printer or local in add printer options. I do not have a printer port on router. What am I missing?
 
Make sure on the second machine you have added the printer, adding the software may not be enough. Go thru the steps to add a new printer, choose the network path, and make that the default printer (don't forget this step-I did!!)
