I'm having a system built - graphic card will be Matrox G400 Max dual head. MoBo will be Abit KT7-RAID. I would like to get more 3D rendering power (for Bryce 3D, Photoshop plugins, not games). I have an old STB VooDoo2 BlackMagic3 12MB PCI accelerator. Can I use the Voodoo in a PCI slot to add 3D processing power without interfering with the Matrox card?

know you can't "add" power to your G400. you either use the voodoo 2 OR the G400 for 3d. not both at a time.

the G400 kicks the voodoo 2's ass in performance. and visual quality will be enormously better. just stick to the G400, the Voodoo2 will just make 2d worse.
