Use of Rhetorical Questions

Is it ineffective to conclude a position paper with rehtorical questions?
i'm struggling over the ending to my research paper on euthanasia

Yes, it is ineffective to use rhetorical questions to end a position paper on euthanasia or any other topic. You might use them to begin your paper to lay a ground work for your arguments but, you should end the paper by restating and linking the points you made earlier in the paper.

really? we have a list of devices to use (we have to use at least 6) and rhetorical questions is on there

I would only use it as a way to preempt the questions a reader might have so that you can explain them afterwards. I definitely wouldn't end a paper on rhetorical questions

Just use irony, hyperbole, alliteration, allusion, assonance, and a somber tone.
