Use of PC2100 with A7V333

Question, I've got a KT266 board that has one 512meg PC2100 stick in it. I've got the opportunity to pick up a A7V333 from a friend for under $50. I wouldn't forsee a problem using the PC2100, but really I was wondering the real-life performance gain if I spent $150 and picked up a stick of PC2700. Is it worth it?

For some hard numbers, check out onelin0's findings here: thread. I can think of a ton of other ways to spend the $150, like saving it toward a hot new video card, a second monitor, a digital camera, a force-feedback steering wheel, CD-RW drive... but that's your call. You could sell off your PC2100 to offset the cost of PC2700, of course.

Now, if you are a hardcore overclocker you could try unlocking an AthlonXP, dropping the multiplier and cranking the CPU/RAM up to a synchronous 166/166MHz, in which case PC2700 or faster would be a key ingredient.
