Use of Ephedra products

Ephedra is perfectly safe for those that don't abuse the recommended dosage and also do not have any pre-existing
heart conditions. The orioles player that died took 3 times the recommended dosage, AFTER FASTING FOR TWO DAYS
AND HAD PRE-EXISTING HEART AND BLOOD PRESSURE CONDITIONS. Funny how the media never points this out.

Personally I don't recommend its use as its not much more effective than natural weightloss - diet and exercise is always key -
ephedra complements a good diet/exercise program well but should not be used in lieu of it.

heh, the little Asian store by where my girlfriend used to live sold these little packets called Ephedra 850.

We just called them "3 little black pills". They were fun. 😀 500mg of ephedra in each capsule, we'd usually take 2 each. :Q

They sell ephedrine here at gas stations and after taking 6 pills all ya get is tingling when you run your hand through your hair. Probably not one of the smarter things we've done. 🙂

I strongly doubt 500mg of ephedra was in a capsule, more than likely 500mg of MaHuang which usually is standardized to yield about 30mg of ephedra in that dosage. In a normal ECA stack you'd get about 20mg.

You are probably referring to the misnomer of Guarana = Guano (which is bat droppings)...this is a widespread error.

Is Guarana in Ephedra-based products?

Almost always it is, it supplies the Caffiene portion in the ECA stack (Ephedra/Caffiene/Aspirin)...however both can be bought separately. A few easy searches of Google will show most of this info.

Ephedra combined with Caffiene was found (I believe in the early 60's) to have a synergistic effect on weight loss. During this same time was when Creatine was almost being researched and used by Russian athletes.

The proper dosage is a 1:10 ratio of ephedra to caffiene with 20mg/200mg being a common dose.
