Use Nero or Easy Creator with LiteOn 16x10x40?

I just installed a LiteOn 16x10x40; it came with a Nero CD. I have Easy Creator 4X or 5, and need for the following tasks:

1) Audio Cds from MP3s
2) Backup data to CD

Any recommendations on which to use with the CD?

Thanks.

Ken

I assume you're asking whic is the best software to use?

I'd say Nero w/out a doubt, and most people would agree. Easy cd works, but is not as powerful as Nero

Just use the Nero wizard, and you can make an audio or a data cd. For audio cd's, just drag your mp3's over and Nero automatically converts them to burn

Its a matter of personal preference. I've used both. Used EZCD for years but heard lots of bad things about version 5 and Windows 2000, so I never tried that. Personally I think EZCD's interface is more intuitive and easier to use, but Nero has more (vocal) fans. I especially like EZCD for making audio CDs from MP3s.

Either will do the job and work fine with your burner. Install both and see which YOU like best.

I'd have to go with Nero too. It's just so much more powerful. Fiddle around with it for a while, and once you get used to the options, I think you'll like it better. Ez-Cd creator is too damn easy for me. I like software that my grandma can't use the first time she tries it 🙂

So, in summary. Nero is more flexible, Easy Creator is....easier 🙂
IMHO.

Thanks for all the advice. I loaded Nero and have burned a couple of CDs. WOW! The completed CD dialog popped up after 4 minutes and I thought it must be a error to be so quick! This after using an external HP thats burns at a 2x warp speed!!!

I haven't ever used Nero.. but currently received it with my new TEAC 24X/10X/40X drive..

If you use Easy CD Creator.. I'd recommend using the 4.0 version, and updating it to 4.05 (I believe that is the latest)

<< does nero work with win2k and winxp?
also what versions of adaptec/roxio excd creator work with those os's?
thanks

Nero works with both win2k and winxp

You need Easy cd creator 5 (platinum) in order to get it to work with winxp
