Use laptop IR for TV remote?

Is there any software to use a laptop's IR port to control a TV/DVD player/etc? Thanks

No. The hardware is not compatible.

yeah... according to a few sites I found TVs etc. use ~38Mhz vs about 3x that frequency for IrDA. Oh well
